13 Death
As I look at the card I see the goddess figure with a scythe dressed in iliac, she looks centred in herself but somewhat scary. The full moon in the background lights the scene and reminds me of the cycles involved whenever there is an ending there is also a new beginning. I notice the skulls at her feet as the remains of what was before, the people who have transformed into spirit and no longer need the physical structure to hold them.

I walk into the card.... I see the wheat on the border of the card and ask it its significance. It says "We are harvested, here this card is about the harvest, the end of one growing season, another sure to follow but for now the focus is on the final result of the growth phase and a surrender to the fate that awaits, as we do not resist, the cycle follows smoothly, allow your little deaths and changes in life to be graciously accepted knowing it is not the ultimate end, only a transformation from one state to another. "
There are yew branches by the side, they say "We protect the spirit of those that pass over and protect the body that is left behind. Through all changes there is always the protection that comes from spiritual realms and whose energy we carry, that through the transition there is nothing to fear - it is only the unknown that scares you so." "Yes I see...thank you." I say
I walk further into the card and talk to the goddess of death. "Hello" I say somewhat nervously "Hello my child, why do you fear me and my job?" She asks me directly "Well I guess I am nervous of changes generally, I worry that I am doing them at the wrong time - too soon or too late or that whatever is coming will somehow be worse than where I have come from." "Has your experience shown this fear to be true?" She asks "No" I say, "I have found that each change has brought new things that are better for the me. That is, then, like no change has actually meant the past was bad or wrong, and that the unknown has always been exciting and fun when it unfolds - I just find the process scary I suppose. What can you tell me that will help this?" "I come along when the changes has usually already been done internally - I show that your outside world doesn't match the new internal you and I am here to address that issue so as to keep the idea 'As within so without'. I am sure it is worrying to see what you will see, as your external world more accurately mirrors your internal, but all is feedback and not judgement. Ultimately I am the change of one life to spirit, but this transition only indicates your task here is done for this time. Look to the moon to see the cycles of everything ... the moon increases in size till it becomes full then at this full expression a change is needed and there then is a diminishment till new moon which is like birth. Between death and birth there is a space, a time of contemplation, as to what is to be born. Know this as things change, you are part of this contemplatory process, but you can only fully participate if you have allowed the letting go and the loss of the old. Allow time to pass...allow yourself to heal and become whole without the old ways, messages etc. In a reading I can thus represent a major external change, a house move, a change in job, a complete change of lifestyle. But these changes are reflecting changes that have already occurred within you - outgrown jobs, outgrown ways of being in life, out grown friendships. If you cling to the known for the fear of the unknown or fear of loss, it will be a harder transition. Allow yourself to embrace and accept the change and it will flow smoothly and you will look back to see it relevance and significance in your life"
"Wow, thank you for all that, it is relevant for me in many ways. I expect the reversed death is the holding onto old ways and perhaps destroying everything physically rather than working internally first - would that be right?"
"Yes indeed when someone wants to change what is happening in their life but doesn't acknowledge the mirror they are being shown, and only want the external to change, then yes they try and try to destroy the external mirror but it only keeps coming back in different forms, with the same message. The learning and moving on, using the path of destruction on the physical is not to be judged or condemned though as for some of us at sometimes in our lives this is the way that we choose to work, painful though it can be, the lessons can still be learnt. There is no judgement when you are talking of death and transformation. Know also that there is always the rebirth that comes after the death."
If you wish a change to occur on the physical in your life look at what you need to let go of internally, what you need to change and ask my help; to help you let go of that quality or side of yourself. I can help you transform old worn out patterns or thinking and behaving, I can then help the outside world you live in transform to fit the new you. Meditate on me in this card and your answers can come. " "Thank you" I say "It is useful advice that you share. Your help is appreciated. "
"We are all vibration and all change is change in vibration, the most noticeable is physical death itself. As your vibration changes so you feel more linked to others with you new vibration and it is this vibrational change that death is representing on the physical level. There is no fear needed only a trust in the vibrational process. As you are comfortable with one vibration and you have got used to it it leads you to feel that any other vibration is going to be less safe and 'harder' to know and trust. Trust that you would only be able to attract this external change if your internal vibration had already changed. This shall help you know you can move forward without fear. Trust, know you are always growing, let go of that which no longer serves your new vibration, without judgement, for it is your deep self calling. This is all I have to say."

Readings can be done by distance onto a CD or tape and sent to you in the post, so there's no need to be living in my area, or need to find a time we can both be present.
