Knight of Disks
As I look at the card I don't really like the feel of this one, he seems a little too stern and the keyword of husbandry seems at odds with how I would usually see this card. I like the element of holly here though and I can see there is distance expressed in the landscape. I will travel in and see whether my ideas are actually born out or challenged by this character...

I go into the card....
I see the landscape as very calm and clear and it seems more peaceful than I expected, I look up to the holly “ Hello, What do you represent? Do you have a message for me? ” I say.
“Hello” they say in response, “ We are the abundance in winter, the life that continues when all else has shut down and is resting. We flourish and bring out our own peak performance at this time. So we symbolise winter as a time period, but also the feeling that each person has their own right time to flourish even if it is a different time to another's blooming. We are strong and resilient, we weather the storms. We also are very protective with our spikes on our leaves, we are left alone and respected for our own strengths. This is also a message we bring on this card. That you can live your own strengths and do not need to be in sync with other people to be on your true path. By being yourself, protection is given, and there is great strength in those who naturally stand out from the rest. ”
“Thank you holly I understand” I reply.
“We protect and crown the knight – helping him be true to himself.”
I turn to the knight –
“Hello sir, What do you represent here?”
He speaks with a softer voice than I image and I can see the strength or character behind him. He is determined and clear about his goals and his role. I am indeed determined for I believe if something is worth doing then it is worth doing to its fullest extent.
“Commitment and determination to succeed are my keys. I love to work slowly but steadily towards my goals. I nurture my plans and ideas and even when there is seemingly little going on I will not loose faith in what needs to be done. There is no rush for me – just the journey of getting there. I enjoy the time I have with my plans and I enjoy the action necessary to make things happen. I could also be considered very practical and able with my hands. I would be a builder, a stone mason, a craftsperson as I have skill to do what I do and I have the patience it takes to bring things into physical being. I am clear abut what needs to be done. In a reading I can be some one who is like this – down to earth and practical – committed and loyal. Or I can be saying that these qualities need to be drawn upon and that you need to nurture your dreams and slowly but surely they will come to fruition – never loose faith or doubt your ability – just walk the pathway forward and you will surely arrive at your destination. ”
“You noticed the distance in my landscape at the beginning,” He continues “ this is the ability I have to see the bigger picture – the far off goal and to move towards it. though I am happy and patient with the process or the journey, I do not lose sight of what I am trying to achieve – I don't get distracted – I am firm in what I commit to. ”
“Thank you knight – you have explained your energies to me well I understand much more fully now. ” I say.
“What if you are reversed?”
“Well then I am representing someone who is unable to commit to their plans – they chop and change and give up at the first hurdle. Perhaps too they are distractible and find it difficult to follow through. I would say the message is to right the card – make a decision about your goal in a way that you can commit to it and them stick with it – allow the obstacles to strengthen you and not demoralise you. Allow yourself to have the faith that things always change as surely as spring will come, know that what seems barren in one way has its own life – just as winter has the holly – as you remember this you will be able to see the difficulty through and come out the other side still in touch with what your ultimate goal is. Sometimes to focus on what you want to achieve in the long term will help you see how little a obstacle your current position really is and help you find the practical way to overcome it. Know there is always a way. Something can always be done, even if the answer is to rest, wait a while and be patient. As long as your sight is still on the direction you want to go in then nothing will be lost by taking this time out. ”
“And what of your sword and shield?” I ask.
“My shield reiterates the protection I have – I can defend my space and hold true to myself in the face of conflicting forces. My sword is the sword of clarity of my goals, given to me by the King of Swords so that I may know what it is that I am committed to. As I wield this sword I cut away the distractions and stay focused. My feet are rooted in the ground – I am grounded and sensible, I have love in my heart as I wear the colour of the heart chakra, I am alive and growing healthily as the green of the grass beneath my feet. I value looking after my body as a form of self love and self respect.... Can I help you with something? I am someone who can do...”

I take a look around the environment and know this place to be refuelling for me.
I say goodbye to all and turn and leave the card.
It has been an interesting journey – he is very different to the impression I perceived on first glance, and his energy is strong peaceful and loving.

Information is gained both from the tarot cards as well as psychically the two forms of guidance merging together to give insight to any situation you are concerned about, or you general future.
Readings can be done by distance onto a CD or tape and sent to you in the post, so there's no need to be living in my area, or need to find a time we can both be present.
